the voices in episode one are too quiet, its not like this in hl2 for me. i have to turn the volume up to hear them then everything else is extremely loud. anyone know how to fix this?

um where? there is no voice volume that ive ever seen. theres only gameplay and music and they are both at max. im sure there probably is a command to adjust this, i just dont know it.

Adjust the WAVE volume of your soundcard
cpanel -> sounds and audio devices -> audio -> [Sound playback] Volume -> Search for a WAVE soundbar and raise it (if you don't have such a bar, add it using the 'options -> properties' menu)
Now i suggest you lower the game volume
