Waaa! CS:S freezing!

The game works fine unless I am on a new map which I have just downloaded. For example, Nuke. The game will just randomly freeze for up to 30 seconds and then carry on like normal. Any ideas why?

laggy connection?

downloading sounds or content from server?

slow computer doing other things?

corrupted maps or files? Tried validating?

Maybe your pc just isn't good enough to keep up running it on your settings?

Some more information would help...we're not mind readers.

Ohh, forgot about this thread. It just seems to be on big, demanding maps like Nuke. I think my pc just isn't good enough.

Probably . Is it especially when outside? I have a huge FPS drop when I go outside, like most people.

Oh, some people indeed have this problem with HDR maps.
Guess you'll have to wait until they release a non-HDR map of Nuke
