Wasn't the Gravity Gun supposed to be more powerful?

When you first get the Gravity Gun, its range and strength are somewhat limited. I remember seeing screenshots of the gravity gun lifting up a car! And yet in the game, you can't do that. When the gun gets upgraded later, it finally gets more powerful . . . but too late to have any real fun with it.

So now I guess we have to resort to cheats in order to do that.

when did it lift up a car!? you can shoot cars with it, its insanely powerful. you can pull barrels to you from across a huge room. i think its the perfect strength

Well when i'm done beating the game(almost there), I'm gonna play it again with cheats and use the more powerful gravity gun and have some fun with it!

Hey, whoa. Don't get me wrong. The Gravity Gun is great. It just would've been cool if you could've done what I was talking about.

And yes, I've seen a screenshot of the gun lifting up a car. Obviously, it was in an earlier build of the game and they took that out. I'm trying to find the screenshot now. Sure, shooting a car with the gun is all you need, really. But it would be cool if you could lift one.

Try picking up those armored car things (that the combine drive in) with the blue gravity gun. It sometimes crashes your game.

play the whole game with the phycannon (the blue grav gun)

goto - console
type - map d3_citidel_04
once loaded type - changelevel (anyone you want) ex. d1_trainstation_02
then once loaded type give weapon_phycannon

then play with the powerful grav gun and yes I think you can pick
up cars with it aslong as it the blue grav gun.

It's the regular gravity gun lifting a car, not the blue enhanced one.

It doesn't look like its being picked up to me. But I can see why someone would think so.

I agree - it is not being picked up. It is being pushed / shot / zapped in that shot. Left mouse button near a wrecked car will do this.

D'oh! I see it now . . . yeah, it's leaning against the pole. But my first impression was that it was being lifted. My mistake. Sorry.

Well I guess I'll have to use the enhanced gravity gun when I play again . . . heh.
