watch endeavour launch tonight

Launch is in a little over an hour, I'm gonna watch it. Go space flight!

whooo! im gunna get to see it outside my apartment.

I have a bad feeling about this launch. Either that, or it's something I ate.

So when is this launch? I have the feed open in a tab, but I get the feeling I'll flip over to it and I'll only see a bunch of steam/smoke and no shuttle.

So the countdown is at X:28 (2:28 EDT) and the actual launch is X:36?

3 minutes 30 seconds as of this post.

He just said 3 minutes left in the built-in hold, then the 9 minute count down. So less than 12 minutes from this post.

EDIT: no no no! this is just the built in hold! Not the actual countdown. They're counting down to the countdown.

I think Krynn is right.

edit: Yeah, 2 minutes until release of the hold.

Dammit these people are boring.

They need to have back and forth chit chat, joking... all that good stuff. Heh heh.

T minus 9 minutes.

EDIT: Whoops double post. sorry.

I never get tired of watching things like this, the shit that humanity can do is amazing.

I swiped my roomates camera, and ill take some pics of it and post here.

I'm just crossing my fingers hoping nothing bad happens. Because I have a sinking pit in the feeling of my stomach.

I don't know why. It's ridiculous. These people have the utmost safety and security for this rigorously controlled launch.

EDIT: Awesome Krynn. I'd kill to watch something like this live.

I'm watching on CNN and this online thing is far delayed.

EDIT: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I saw it launch on CNN, and then 30 seconds later saw it launch on this online feed.

Well, looks like everything went well :D score one for NASA

****, I couldnt see shit outside, its not that cloudy, but i guess it was enough between here and there to hide it.

Just caught it on BBC News, launches still astound me. Hope all goes well for the mission.

How do you think I feel?!

Damnit I missed the whole thing because of lameass clouds.

:(

Sorry buddy.

I'm sure they'll reair it on the news tomorrow like 5200 times per station.

It's not the same as watching it.

Hey, at least you guys are in the 'States. Think Australia launches many shuttles into space?

Yes. It's called the Kangaroo Initiative.

That's an awesome video sulk... but boy does that over emphasized brightness suck. I imagine for the people there, it looked quite different than the amount of light that was being recorded by the camcorder.

Sigh... so when are they going to replace these shuttles with something safer, and more cost effective. Or are they waiting for all the shuttles to blow up before they start replacing them...:|

I'm pretty sure that shuttle didn't blow up.
