what difficulty

What difficulty will you be playing Half Life2 on?. I will be playing it on either Medium or Hard.

I always play games on "Normal". It's something about the name of that difficulty level that makes me think that I should use it.

I always have it on normal, I want to follow the story and much as play the game rather than taking so long to get anywhere that i just get frustrated.

I will play on normal but if thier is a very hard option then I will go Hard like in CoD and Halo

I was thinking that I would orginally do it through on the hardest skill with a one life rule.
However then I run the risk of doing well only to make a mistake and have to start over, so maybe doing normal first (which is more forgiving) and then caring over the one-life-rule on hard.

I guess that the most 'realistic' setting would be normal with a one life rule, so I will do that initially

Oh no

Its an added rule that I play by sometimes.
That is:
I play like in real life....if I die then thats it, game over.
Its quite fun to do, especially for a challenging game. I used to do it all the time with "Blood" on the hardest skill....that was a challenge even when I knew the levels backwards.
Most games these days are to easy for me, so I play with the added challenge.

Thats why I was thinking normal first round through. Then when I know the enemys placements etc then I could do it on hard.
Give it a shot after you have played it once through, its fun!

If there is a very hard that means ill play on hard. If there isnt ill play on medium then on hard.
