What do I do if my preload is stuck?

This is the second time my preload has become stuck. The first time I cancelled it at 30%, now its at 70% and its stuck after my I was disconnected from DSL for about 2 seconds. I dont want to start all over, but I know if I cancel and restart it will start again. What can I do? Its been like this for about 15 minutes already. Thanks. Sticky, please respond. You've helped others with this issue, thx.

What to do?, get a better internet connection, but what do I know, I'm not downloading it

I think if your preload gets stuck it means the servers overloaded, it happened to me.

Try pausing it, then restart Steam.

i think he wanted to get help from a guy called sticky, and was putting his name in the title to get his attention :thumbs:

although if the guy's helped someone before, and you've seen the posts, and therefore advice, then why did you need him to tell it to you again, personally? :|

I did a user search, and there is nobody on this forum called Sticky. I think he really was self-designating his post.
