what does this error mean XSI SOFTIMAGE

i get the error when i try to install soft image mod tool :you must have nt service pack 4 or higher. what is this i have windows xp home edition is there i somthing i can do to make this work

That's wierd because SP4 is for Windows2k. I would suggest going to the windows update Web page and do all the updates.

I think the address is [email protected] I had to email them about student software, and if I remember right, this is the email they gave me to email tech support to talk about the differences of the student version and the fulll version.

this is a quote from an email i got from the director of autodesk when asking him why 3dsmax sucks.

im really sorry we just want to be like xsi. i know were crap and stupidly less user friendly and more difficult to control. i know that the only people who dont liek xsi are just too ignorant to give it a chance. im truely sorry and please forgive my spelling im only 6 years old.
