does fr gregori die in his fight at the graveyard?
will he turn up again ?

No one is really sure what happened to Gregory. I for one stuck around after the fight and saw Gregory shoot a few of those zombies and then go into a mausoleum ( the one next to him). But others have said that they've done the same and just saw him disappear:O , so I really don't know.

Nah, sorry, after you had a choice to leave him or not, if you leave him the Zombies tear him asunder.

I like to think he died. He backed away into the crypt surrounded by zombies and flames.

1.Its Grigori
2.I was at the gate and went up a slope and helped him finish the other zombies off by blowing a explosive barrel then he entered the big tomb thingy(as redneck says the mausolem)

yeah he's alive.. he'll send an email or two in aftermath ;)

I have a feeling that Father Griguri is irrelevant to the story.

He IS alive but if he is relevant to the story or will make an appearence again, not sure at all.

I think of him as the stereotypical crazy-but-all-round-good guy who sacrifices himself for our hero, to be thought dead after his noble sacrifice. Only when our hero(s) are in dire peril does he reappear, battered, bruised and half dead to save the day before passing away.

Something like that.

MechaGregori? I've always wanted an insane half robot/half human friend. But no, I doubt we'll see him again whether he is alive or not (I think he still is, personally). I don't think he'd leave Ravenholme, and there's no real reason for us to go back there.

No, you can't say that. Half-life 2 was created in such a way that things are left relatively unexplained. Grigori's final scene was set up in such a way that there is no definate answer to his survival. And I prefer it that way. Not interested in seeing him again and like to think of him as dead.

I think there is only one explanation of all these different spellings of "Grigori." It can only mean that there are multiple copies of him. Only one copy of him was killed, and I'm fully confident that Gregori, Gregory, and Griguri can still hold down the fort. I mean, it's not like there is an endless supply of human hosts in Ravenholm. Don't you think he'd see their numbers start to thin out by now?

Oh yeah and each of the copies are specialized too:

Father Gregori -- Weapon of choice: Annabelle. Mechanical genius, maintaining the means of transport around Ravenholm, as well as those spinning blade thingies.
Father Gregory -- Brandishes his shotgun, Anabel. Unsettling enfatuation with fire; sets up the oven traps.
Father Griguri -- Calls his shotgun Aneboll. Doesn't like to talk. Smashes stuff with cars.

Their different personalities creates daily comedic "The Odd Couple" antics.

Sh*t, how am I not a writer!

Bwahaaaahahahaaa!    Now why didn't I think of that? You sir are a genius:thumbs:

Grigori is too bad-ass to have died. Sometimes, just before he backs into the flames, he'll be surrounded by like 8 zombies trying to claw him to death, and he acts like nothing is happening. Now that's hardcore.

You Know, I heard from this place this or that, Father Grigori is invincible. After all, I did see millions of zombies tear him to parts but he kept laughing. Oh, and when the zombies shout, they scream "God Help ME" in Ravenholm. Theyre referring that to Father Grigori, and believe that their souls will go up to heaven. NICE SHARING (^_^)

I thought that the final scene with Grigori was one of the most well done parts of the game. The first time I played it, as I walked over towards that fence you go over to leave the area, I really thought that Grigori would be killed off as soon as he "outlived his usefulness", but then I stopped to watch where he walked off to, and he continued to fire his shotgun and laugh maniacally. I stood there for a minute and it kept up. I then got the feeling that Grigori wasn't in danger at all, I assumed it was life as usual for him, and as I went towards the mines, I figured he was going to be alright, doing the same sorts of things he was normally doing before I arrived in Ravenholm.

He's not dead, l think that he's used to zombie killing, seeing how many traps he has set up, l doubt he's in any danger.

He probably had 500 Shotguns attatched to some form of mechanical device where as he entered the tomb and his behind them, the Zombies tripped a switch and well ... use your imagination :P .... it's possible you know ;)

Actually, since for some reason i cant quote, The zombies say "God Help!!"

(i checked) and its backwards.

no body knows what happened. probaly survived with few scars ???

Does it matter what happened to him? If you want him to live on, then you are free to believe it.

I think he died. If he didn't that be too much pulpy plot, and we know that the half life stories are anything but pulp.
