Hey,

It looks like my 9700Pro is overheating, but idk. There are constantly blue blocks on my comp and they rarely go away. They are even present on startup after the comp has been of for hours. I have tried downloading ATItool and lowering some clock speeds, but unfortunately that did not help. What could be causing this problem, and more imporantly, what can i do to try and fix this.

Thanks for the help!

I had the same problem with my 9700 tried everything to fix it and eventually it just quit working all together I had to break down and buy a new 9800 to fix the problem. ;(

can you send a screen shot? i am going throught he same thing as you...might not be overheating maybe something else like a driver problem

I attatched a screenshot. it doesnt look that bad, but when i launch a game there are artifacts everywhere and its unplayable.

Yep after seeing that screenshot that you have attached mine was doing the EXACT same thing. Tried everything under the sun to get it to work, reinstall drivers changed detail configurations everything. Then I managed to scrounge around the house and found my old geforce2 mx 400 and popped it in to see if that made a difference and it fixed the problem so then I got myself a 9800. Sorry.

looks like your card is dying a slow death... sorry...
