What was your origional HL1 rig?

Well to be honest the pc im using is the pc i played hl1 on, which is
nVidia 6800 wit 256
1024 MB DDR2 SDRAM
Intel 3.4 Ghz

If you want to know what my old comp was like before i upgraded. It is:
192 MB RAM
12 GB Hard Drive
ATi 9200 128 MB
Creative Sound Blaster ( the original)
550 Mhz Proc

i forgot about software rendering, i think i had to use that too.
 
I remember because it was the family pc and it was real minimum spec.

133mhz Pentium
16 Meg ram (later upgraded to 64)
Onboard graphics (later upgraded to some video card, although it didnt work properly and whenever you made hl use it, you got snow on the screen)
Onboard sound
14" crt monitor

I couldnt even play Baldurs Gate, i really missed out on that one :(
 
It was a Dell.

266 MHz Pentium II processor.
64 MB RAM.
Some sort of Riva TNT graphics accelerator (4 MB).
Onboard sound.
17" CRT monitor.

Ran wonderfully, actually.
 
SEGA something - amiga 500 - 60 mhz pentium -

HL rig: Pentium 3 450mhz, 128 mb, TNT2 ULTRA

then p4 2533 mhz 1 gb radeon9800pro

now p4 3800 mhz 2 gb x1800xt512 3 250 hitachi in raid 0 :D

I might like intel a bit too much...

My original rig was an Athlon 2200 laptop - I just got around to playing HL1 about three or four years ago.

I played through it for the first time like two years ago. I actually bought it along with Doom3. :|
 
hmmm i played it first in 2000, on our computer we got in 1997 which was

du dum de da!!!!

a Pentium 233 with MMX technology
32 Megs of ram
4 Gig harddrive
and the graphics were on software settings

yep was a great game!
