What we know about HL3?

Post anything or news that we know about HL3. I know so far that there is only ONE article and it relates that HL3 is in the planning stage and that more info will be revealed in 2005's E3. So if you put the pieces together, then you know that Valve will just make bull**** up. I mean seriously come on. E3 is like 8 months ago. So your telling me that in all 8 months time, all they are going to do is is tell us info. I mean won't they have created part of the game or something? I mean at this rate, it will take just as much time to create HL3 as Hl2 took. I know they need relaxation from HL2. But here's an idea to valve. Create Hl3 the finale and take a 20 year vacation. hell make it 40 i dont care. because hl3 will be done... but if all they are going to come up with is "more info" on e3 then my guess is that they won't even start creating the game til 2005 (late) or early 2006 (most likely)

Im too lazy to get the link, but a swedish mag broke their NDA and reported that HL3 was in the planning stages, something about Alyx being a playable character, some other rubbish--I CALL BULLSHIT!

It is my guess that we won't have anything on HL3 until either E3 2006 or E3 2007. They just finished HL2, they have to take a break. But, they won't give up on the Source engine after only 1 game, I expect that they will build off of Source and call it Source 2 --so that should make the development time of HL3 less than HL2 (they don't have to build another engine from scratch).

Plus, we have to take into account the traditional 1 year delay, so we're looking at like 2008.
