what were the specifications of your first computer?

*Points and laughs at the kid with the Apple*

Wow, I think he has the worst. Apples are sh1t.

IBM Aptiva

Pentium II 133 MhZ
16 mb RAM
2 gb HD

Can't remember much...it's almost been 10 years, Pentium 75mhz, 4 mb ram, win 95.

I've still got my first computer, and it still works great. Amiga 500 running somewhere around 1Mhz, I think, with 1MB of RAM, no harddrive, a second external disk drive, and a monitor that's still chugging away happily... damn but they made Amiga stuff to last.

I've even seen an Amiga that got struck by lighting, and still worked afterwards.

I had the ultimate: SINCLAIR ZX SPECTRUM. Yes, a Spectrum.

I programmed in BASIC. I loaded 'games' from a tape drive. I had a manual as thick as a dictionary. And I thought it was pretty damn good.

My first windows computer was a 133MHz, 1GB HDD (I was lucky), 1MB Shared Video Memory, 8MB RAM.

I still remember the thrill when I 'upgraded' to a 4MB Graphics card.

My first computer was a 386 IBM machine, not sure what the exact ghz was but it was definitely around 20 or so. No soundcard. The hardrive was a measly 80 MB...The computer didn't even have Windows on it, it was exclusively DOS based.
Wow. 20GHz out of a 386. That's some amazing overclocking :p

I never had a c64/amiga/spectrum, but my neighbour had them. My first (my own compy) was a 8088 running with CP/M. My dad worked (programming) with computers from the early 80's, so he had some quite cool computers :)
