Can someone tell me what was that creature in the end of hl2 when we were being transported to breens area. There were these two dinosaur like animals going by below in the citadel. Were they like synths or something?

What? They're that small? I always thought of them of being huge myrmidonts! XD

I thought they were some kind of combine battle tank! They seemed very large from above....

That first one's a big crab, no matter what size it is...

The Crab Synth was first deployed by the Combine in a number of battles in ancient Japan. Seemingly impervious to weapons fire, the Crab Synth has a single weak-spot, which Gordon must attack for massive damage.

lol, "Porta" as in portal?

Wow, even I'm not that nerdy. I mean, for shit's sake, I classify candy and put them in one of three groups: fruity, chocolate, salty; all of them complimenting each other within the "junkfood trinity." Now that's nerdy. And this guy topped it off!

Oh and btw, sorry about this post being off-topic but I just had to share that with you.

Yes, Porta is latin for Portal (as in an entrance from one place to another).

And I hardly see how binomial naming is "Nerdy".

Binomial naming of imaginary creatures is nerdy, especially since he made up imaginary facts.

I did the same thing for Half-life years ago!! :(

Despite your condescending tone, I do agree with you about me misjudging the collection of articles and I guess I went a bit too far. However, the fact that I have obviously played HL2; which its plot being revolved around portals, sort of takes the "sting" out of your sardonic comment. What I'm trying to say is it's so damn apparent that I know the definition of "portal" that it kills the first line in your post. But anyway, aside from that, I give credit to the person who typed the articles. After all, I'd probably do the same thing with Half-Life just like him but being the lazy prick that I am...

Don't get me wrong. I positively acknowledge the guy's effort put into the articles and documents. I just thought that the author doing something like the aforementioned might lend a small bit of credibility to my assumption that he has some of the characteristics found in a nerd. Although if he is reading this, then I apologize as I didn't mean any offense, ironically.
