what's with the horse statue?

I just did a search for this topic, and nothing really answered my question. and that being; is there a meaning/something more to the horse statue we've seen? i've seen it the first batch of screens, in the psyche video, and in the strider video. i just wanted to know if any knew some thing about it and its meaning, because i just think its funny that that image comes up in so many places.

There's also a horse statue in 3D Mark 2001, in EXACTLY the same pose. I smell conspiracy!!!

Seriously though, it's just a statue. I doubt there's any meaning to it at all; the only places I've ever seen it turn up was in the city square (where its located) and in the quick flash of scenes from the end of the E3 2k3 video. That's probably just something to symbolize City 17, nothing major like the horse is some kind of metaphor or it holds some Resident Evil-style purpose like putting a few gems in its base and a door opens up.

Most likely just a case of them using the same setting over and over again in order to keep from spoiling too much for us. I will, however, shoot at it in game.
