I've been searching all over and wanted to take advantage of my Q6600 and I just cannot seem to find the file i need. 64-bit.gcf is the name and I want to get as many of my older 32-bit games into the 64-bit realm. It gives them much better access to large amounts of RAM and from what i hear, tends to run smoother.

Best regards,
-Andrew

64 bit is automatically downloaded as far as i know. ive never heard of a third party patch for it.

There is no difference between them. If source detects your 64 bit hardware, it will accomodate it.

More specifically, you'll need to run a 64-bit copy of Vista or XP Pro.

They could be someone elses specs...

^^^ owned.

Yes. I'm going to post up other peoples specs just so people will think i have a badass PC!!

Here is a picture

^^ They are nice and quiet, plus the case is designed for those fans. And if you have seen the temperatures overclocked quad-core processors hit (75'c load in my old case, only 58'c max now)... you'd try to keep things cool as well.

Btw... i got the game to run 64-bit. I had to re-install HL2 so it would update with 64-bit instructions.

It's the Cooler Master Stacker 830 EVO. It comes in silver or black and has insane amazing space inside, room for tons of hard drives, fans, etc.... and looks great. 100% tool-less. Also, it's all aluminum.

... it's expensive though. But you get what you pay for. I think www.newegg.com has them for a decent price. Also, keep in mind that this case will also convert to the upcoming BTX layout, which will greatly extend the life of your case if you want to upgrade internals a few years down the road.

Far from you my Polish friend. :)

so every one of those fans are silent

Pretty much. The fastest fans in the case are the 120mm Scythe fans which are rated at 64cfm and 27dba. The 4 side panel fans are now 140mm and are rated at 24dba.

The only slightly noisy thing in the case are the two 8800gts video cards, which wind up to about 40dba while playing games. But I quell them by always using my Sennheiser HD580 headphones to get the best audio possible. I'll never go back to conventional speakers.

Told you, he stole your computer and painted it.

Actually its a bit different now. I swapped out the Asus P5N32-E SLI motherboard with an Asus Striker Extreme and changed the Enzotech Ultra-X CPU cooler with a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme. The side fans are all 140mm also. I've also got two nice and shiny Thermalright HR-03+ coolers for the 8800gts video cards. Haven't installed them yet though.

Thermalright makes without a doubt the best quality air cooling products out there.
