Hey... can some one help me out...
every time I try to open up steam it doesnt...sora... it opens it and the icon thingy is at the bottom next to the start menu button but nothing appears. I try to right click the icon thing at the bottom and click "move" and the take my cursor to the top of the screen. I know steam is running but i cant seem to get to it... i tried raising my screen rez. and seeing if it some how got moved off the screen but nothing appeared. can some one help me out?

uhh, hmm. So you can see the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen? Right click the icon and click the "games" option. Also, what internet speed do you have? Maybe it just doesn't seem like anything is happening because it's trying to log you into steam.

Yea, sounds like Steams just trying to log you in. Try waiting a little while steam should eventually start up, could be that its updating too.

no. thats not it. my internet connection is good, how fast i would not be able to tell you its supposed to be like... T1 or faster. and it does log me on and after that it seems as if it does nothing. and i wasnt talking about the icon in the systems utilit tray or what ever thats called. i was just saying that it shows up on the bottom of the task bar like all other applications do, however you can see nothing on the screen. However, lately i have been haveing some problem with my internet connetion but i know thats not it because i can minimize and "kinda" move it even though its appears to not be there.

If I remember correctly, I had a similar problem a very long time ago, I had to delete the clientregistry.blob, and that fixed my problem. Hope this helps

sorry this didnt work... every time I try to delete it, it just keeps comeing back...

It's suppose to, deleteing it once should work. You see client registry stores where directories are and tons of information that steam needs to operate. When it's gone steam will create one and then update itself with all the correct information.

So just delete it once and start steam. Thats all.
