ok after hours and hours of updating games not loading the thing finally starts working but it wont let me into ne servers cos it says steam ID not recognized?

i hav'nt had the chance to put the cd key in newhere and creat a Steam ID huuf i need half life benchamrk to leak to cheer me up.
