I haven't seen any mention of ID at E3 yet? I thought they were going to be present this year. If not, color me disappointed. :(

They don't usually keep most of their big stuff for Quakecon?

Doesn't mean they have to keep everything a secret. I would at least like to see some updated Rage footage.

****ing iD is tired of getting hammered by anti-fans it got for not living up to expectations on Quake 4 and Doom 3, so they are going to ninja their next release.

Nah, honestly, they probably have mostly been working on content since they last showed something off. iD Software is a really small company I believe. Setting up teasers is a ton of work.

Quake 4 is Raven Software's one of the best games to date.

I just have an interest in Wolfenstein, Doom 4, and Rage.

I've never really followed Quake. It just made me want to play Doom. The thing is, I don't like multiplayer online frag matches anymore, so it all depends what they do with these games.

I don't think that I'll be a fan of the multi-disk Rage. The way they talk about it makes it seem like they're trying to put it on as many disks as possible.

lol'd

I think in the end they will find that their numbers are way off. 100GB (compressed)?

EDIT: and perhaps they are playing a little mind game here. Saying it will be 2 blu-ray discs as well makes things even. (Everyone is swapping some discs here god damnit get used to it) But when it's released I think it will be a different story. I think they will cap the size of the game across all systems according to how much they can fit on one Blu-Ray disc. Although 2 Blu-Ray discs might ... see they are pulling a Kojima. I'm already caught in the hype. lol

There is no discernible difference in graphic quality at a certain point of compression. HDTVs aren't even going to be able to show off anything higher than their native resolution, and I doubt that the content alone would do this much, though I'm sure the game will be long.

Maybe all (or most) of the NPCs will be unique. Dunno,.

I bet they procedurally generate all the game content directly to the disc.

I'm one of those Anti-fans. (kidding) I enjoyed Quake 4 quite a bit. I'm just still mad about Doom 3 sucking as bad as it did & my spending $65 on some special edition crap or what-have-you. Doom64 was so much better....

What are you, a bouncer?

Maybe a big, Russian bouncer. Read it in the Heavy's voice, it works :D

ID is truly a triple-A company and they have generated so much rapport they don't need to hype up their stuff at E3. Sure they have their own event that they can run as they see fit, but it feels like it's more for the fans than for their own publicity.
