Can anyone please tell me the location of any online geographical maps of the land where the HL2 action takes place?

the locations in the game are fictional, so you won't find them on any map, as far as I can tell.

The game does contain a few map textures that accurately depict the coast and canal maps though.

I hope that helped :-)

EDIT

I also came across pictures of Half-Life2 Look-A-Like cars...

Backs up the statments huh?

And you know the huge land you see when you're rising up to the citadel, right? It just comes up for a few seconds but its immensly impressive. That land is taken off New York (I think). Look for it around the forums, I've seen it here.

Btw, heres a post I found with some clues : http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=52926

The maps are also similar to the Seatle, Bellevue area of Washington state.

Thanks guys, but I am not after a map of a real country. I am wondering if anyone has done a map of the land where the HL2 action takes place. Yes, I know it is a fictional place, but so is Middle Earth and there are tons of maps available for that.

Yes of course they exist for Middle Earth..
Though, who do you think made them? Who do you think also went so far as to make his own language for Middle Earth? JJR Tolken.
So yeah.... the HL2 universe is simply...well they don't have creations that are....that obsessed about making a map on where everything takes place... It's not really one big world somewhat like "Morrowind" or anything.

Now maybe if it was completely open ended or something and you could go anywhere and everywhere then a map would be suitable..

BTW..why do you even want a map?

Thanks for that. I take it then that there are no maps of the HL2 world. It would be cool if there was a map that included street maps of City 17 and Ravenholm.

There was a project that set out to do this some thime ago. However, I believe they died pretty early on.

Here's a link:

And a different map of the Coast with the locations added by sfc_hoot.

Many thanks for the links Shens. The coastal map is great and just what I was looking for.
I suspect that a street map of city 17 would be difficult because the geography does not feel "joined up" while playing. However, Ravenholm is definitely well laid out geographically, and is eminently mappable.
Ravenholm must be very close to Black Mesa East, so take a good luck from the top of the dam just after the fight with the hunter chopper. That must be Ravenholm up on the hill behind Black Mesa East.
