I'm starting it with easy, since I dont wanna get scared to death first time playing.

im always in a rush to beat a game and learn the story on what happens, so i played it on normal and beat through it rather quick, now im gonna go do it on hard and put commentary on and take my sweet time.

Normal. Keeps it so I don't totally blow through it and don't get raped. Hard is no good for the first time through a game imo because you'll get too frustrated from dieing to get pulled into the story. Especially a saga such as Half-Life.
