White screen during game launch.

Hi anyone,

I having a problem with launching HL2...everytime I launch the game, a background with a word "loading" appear....and suddendly the screen turns into all white and nothing happens after that...no loading, no processing until I terminate it manually.

When the white screen appeared, my mouse icon turns in to text select icon. And i type in something at there, of course i didnt see what I had typed.

Please help me about this....I had waited so long to play HL2...

Any way, I got no problem on playing HL2: episod I...
