i just noticed where my terrain is sewed to other terrain there are white sparklies from a distance. is there a way to fix this?

i used to get that problem so what i do is as you say make a hill between the two brushes using a third brush and that did the trick.

I got this effect when I used displacements. If you did, check to see they are at the same power so they can be sewed properly. I don't think the vertices align properly if they aren't at the same power (such as 2 or 3)

make sure the displacements are the same power, and the length of the brush edges of the two 'pieces' are the same and that they line up correctly in the 2D view. use sew to join them if they get out of alignment while painting the geometry. good idea when editing a single displacement 'face' is to select all the other faces it touches, to avoid seam splits
