I was playing "We Don't Go To Ravenholm..." last night on my third run through the game, and I came across these. They're all over the place; you see one as soon as you set foot in that territory (the ripped lower-half hanging from a tree, swinging). I've seen them before, of course, but I could never think of an explanation. The zombies certainly didn't do it. They haven't the physical or mental dexterity to conceive and put into execution such an idea. And even if they did, they'd rather beat people to death violently, or consume their flesh or something, instead of hanging them.

The first thing that arose in my mind was a shadow of a suggestion that certain people in the town might have gone insane and begun murdering the others, after some air-assault by the Combine but prior to their death and subsequent re-animation. Maybe a new chemical weapon designed to drive people crazy.

Or Father Grigori could be responsible. He might have had a bunch of zealot followers who went about hanging people for their sins, or whatever, after proclaiming that Apocalypse was nigh. I don't like to think of the him that way, though. He helped me escape :|

Imagine if he went nuts and tried to hang Gordon. "Ah, there you are, brother... And so we meet at last... AAAAAAAAAAAAADIEDIEDIE!".

Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise.

Actually, it was probably Gregori. He's not entirely right in the head. They could be diversionary traps or something, zombies jump at them all day but can't reach them?

Thats what I think as well.

Possibly. But the first two in that series of three are at the point where you get attacked by a whole bunch of fast zombies. The hanging corpses didn't seem to distract them much... I took a beating.

edit: sig-test

I can't believe they killed all those poor Jawas...

Uhhh, no one has brought that Red Aux bar to attention, so I guess I will. You should go out and puirchase the game Mr. Topic Maker.

Well that's pretty disappointing...

:(

Damn you piraters, Valve deserves money for this game.

I intend to buy it once I get a better machine (that's no joke). And it's not just for Aftermath, either. I believe Valve ought to get what they deserve.

Arg a pirates life for you, Anyways, My guess is people in the early stage of zombieism were killed and the head crabs jumped off.

I don't blame you, I did the same for Doom 3, and I still have not bought it. I have been meaning to, along with Ressurection of Evil. But I did buy HL2, all the kids at my school know that I was waiting for that game since forver, I would always talk aboutit and what-not. Heck I even built a new computer for it.

I just wanted to get one as soon as I saw the E3 videos. I can't defend that behaviour, but... yeah :|

I'll be getting a copy next month, provided I have the dough to buy the parts for the new machine by that time. I happen to be building it for the same reason. I had no idea about hardware limitations prior to playing the game.

Your name says it ALL.

That you not only pirate a game, you admit it....FOR SHAME!
/dls 5 movies that havent come out yet

It could be a trap set out by Grigori, yes, but who killed the people in the first place!? =o That's the big question.

I wonder how someone could live in a place like that... I didn't see ANY fruit trees or crops growing. Does Grigori eat the corspes..?

i was happy before i saw this post.

now i'm imaging things no one should imagine.

Let's all use the reasonable explanation that it was a group of Los Ganados from Resident Evil 4, quickly making an unseen appearance so they could have some fun.

How long has this thread gone on without anyone realising this is yet another warez kiddie?

Yep pure warez thread, this will probably be closed/removed.

whats wrong with warez?

*this post was written while under the influence of a controled substance*

Warez is bad.

HL2.net will not support any form of media, or data that comes from an illegal leak/warez version, nor will it help people getting a warez/leak version to run, nor will it condone the use of an illegal leak/warez version.

The fruit of warez/leak HL2 is poisonous.

And since the thread is becoming slightly directed at this; Closed.
