Black Mesa: Before and during the resonance cascade, trying to escape fighting for survival etc.

Aperture Science: Baring in mind we dont know much background regarding APS, but it would be during the building of GLaDOS being witness/taking part to what ever went wrong.

Im gonna vote for Aperture because, if I was in BM, I'd just have to deal with a lot of murderous aliens, military and then finally get vaporized..

In Aperture, GLaDOS would at least entertain me while she kills me...
