Why is the ATI Key in Pro and not in XT?

Anyone know why this is? Did the pro card need a boost to get folks to choose it? Its a great deal for sure, but perhaps someone knows another reason? :O

Officially it was only for XT cards, but apparently some Pro cards also had the coupon. I think the XT cards still come with the coupon

The bonus applies to whatever card the vendor decides to slap it on. And it was only supposed to be running to december 31st 2003 if i'm not mistaken.

But the offer apparently got expanded for quite some time.

I got the x800xt from compusa.com (they suck by the way), and no key inside...came direct from ATI. Is there something I can do about it?

i believe it was a limuted time offer with the ATI vouchers it stated while supplies last....and i believe that they stopped packaging them a few months ago...

Too bad ATI and their partners stopped giving out HL2 vouchers, hehe. I would've much rather had that when I bought my X800, than crappy games like CS:CZ and Tomb Raider:AOD.

But I guess the whole HL2 voucher thing cost ATI a fortune . . .

WTf im reading all these posts in ati forums 9600SE 128 got vouchers and mine didnt come with one .. and it has a pic of gordon freeman on my box ?
