wierd creature in the citadel

so i was playing through the hl2 again and i noticed on the part in the citadel when ur riding in the chair thing theres some wierd creatures below u walking in single file they werent the stalkers they were these huge 4 legged things almost like tanks with legs i was wondering if ne ones got info on these things? they appear right b4 the gunships fly out the window
 
There are Crab Synths and Mortar Synths. They're huge and, as you correctly put it, they're the Combine equivalent of tanks and artillery. That is, they're very serious. We'll probably fight them in Aftermath.
 
i really hope we ride them in aftermath.
 
LOL that would be soo cool, but they are living creatures with armor plating, have fun trying to get on them....
 
Maybe someone could make a pilotable Crab Synth mod like with the Striders. Of course, that could quickly get out of hand. Then there'd be a pilotable Combine mod, then a pilotable Lamarr mod, then a pilotable grass mod. What's next? A pilotable Gordan mod? Wait...

hahaha that sentence in bold, I don't know why but it had me laughing for five minutes.

anyway it would make for some great rodeo material.
