I still consider it to be the zone of misinformation, and as such avoid like hell using Wikipedia related material as sources in anything I do and advise people I know to do the same.

Because, quite frankly, you can run into a malicious edit. And then... fail.

Hence why wikipedia entries also list their own set of sources.

Wikipedia is a GREAT resource. On most articles they have several other links and books you can buy that are on the subject.

It's not a good place to end your reaserch, but it's a good place to start it.
