Don't know if many people have seen this stuff before, but it's just unbelievable the stuff Wiki has in it. Just look at all of the info they have on HL2 and similar stuff!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half_life_2
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combine_(Half-Life_2) - MASSIVE!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headcrab
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_weapons_in_Half-Life_2#Gravity_Gun - Check out all the deleted weapons!
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Half-Life_2 - All of Breen's mindless propaganda!

There's even more, I can't list it all.

Yeah. Reminds me of how they wanted to delete the halflife2.net page, because they thought it was 'forumcruft'. (a page dedicated to one, not publicly interesting topic, in this case a forum.)

But they did leave pages that were completely useless like a 20-paragraph page about the protagonist of Splinter Cell and his probable mental thoughts :|

Usually, saying something ceases to amaze you actually means you're not really amazed by it anymore...

Nice info.

Woah, that Combine page is massive! I love Wikipedia. So much useless information.

wikipedia is f***ing awesome, I use it for every research project these teachers throw at me.

My chem lab was covering material that we hadn't gotten to in lecture yet, so I wikipedia'd and googled all my answers. :D

That site can be edited by anyone. So it is a good site for information.

EDIT: Holy God. The information about the combine is unbelievable! Must read all....tomorrow.

I can't believe how little ripples Wikipedia makes, as the first true example of many-t0-many media and thus somewhat of a revolution.

WTF? This is like the 4th time I've seen someone link to the wiki just saying "WOW WIKIPEDIA HAS COOL INFO!". No f*cking sh*t sherlock.

Yeah and it's like the 4th time everyone's seen you climbing up on your high-horse after someone mentions it.
Because you found out before them that makes you better than them, does it?
I presume you were born with the knowledge of HL's existence on wikipedia? Or did you - like the people you constantly berate and mock - have to find it out about it/learn of it?
Get in line mate, because other people knew about it before you, so - following your logic - that gives them the right to mock you.
Sound fair?

Less flames, more Wikipedia praising.
I wouldn't call it flaming as such (not on mine or Maxi's behalf anyways) - it's just exceedingly tiresome seeing him do the same derogatory, condescending bollocks again and again. I'm just not sure what gives him the justification to be so snide and so nasty.

But on the other hand - Yay Wiki!

Glad you liked it.:) Did you see that combine page? A real doozie, eh?

Funny, I've been coming to this site for about a month or two now, and you've made several hundred posts in such a short amount of time. Are you by chance in touch with reality? There is life after a game, after all. lol, it's quite humorous how you think you're better than others because you saw a website before them. Oh well, have a nice day.

Yah, that Wiki is awesome stuff, glad you guys liked it. Here's a neat little bit pertaining to the Combine symbol that interested me:

A prominent symbol of the Combine. It can be seen throughout the game on Combine structures, propaganda posters, as well as insignia on various Combine forces. Note the symbols which resemble "CMB" in the Latin alphabet, perhaps the origin of the name Combine

Hrm...

Er, yeah, sorry. I've been a bit phsycho latly as a few members can tell you.

Stop being an idiot Riomhaire. Its not clever, and its very annoying.

S'okay, don't worry about it. And keep up with your comic! I lmao at the "burnt your breakfast" part.:D

Lombardi: We had a glimpse of the larger threat when we were working on Half-Life 1. In other words, we knew that once you cleared out the Nihilanth (end-of-game boss), you were going to discover something worse beyond it. We knew that some immense threat had chased the Nihilanth and its creatures out of their own world and into Xen, from which location they were all too glad to seize the opportunity to continue on to Earth with suppression through the citadels. But the exact nature of the threat was left to be solved in Half-Life 2.

So the Nihilanth was chased away from the Combine?

The Combine Empire was engaged in a war with the Nihilanth's race, and, through means unknown, managed to force them out of their original homeland. The Nihilanth's race was then forced to seek refuge in Xen.

I guess it makes sense

Man that big baby really freaked me out when I first saw him.

Part of wikimedia. The only other company that offers quite so many online services under the same umbrella I can think of is google, or possibly microsoft but they don't count.

This is awesome stuff, no doubt!!! :D :D

Have no doubt in Valve Software!!

Wait one second, let me pull up the Uncyclopedia entry for HL2.

Here we go.

“A well-lived Half-Life is better than a boringly-lived Life.”

~ Oscar Wilde on computer game addiction
Half-Life 2 is a super leet first-person shooter(lol) game that is a sequel, oddly enough, to the game "Half-Life 3." Because of this unusual order of game titles in this series, many hardcore gamers commited suicide, believing that time and space has reversed, and that they will eventually turn back into sperms. Thus, the release date of this game, November 16, 2004, is forever known as the infamous "Day of Holy Crap, Time is Going Backwards, Kill Yourself Before it is Too Late." Unfortunately, for the game's developers, Ugly Spigot, the fanbase for Half-Life 2 was sharply reduced by 95%. Some may argue that this tragic incident was a result of improper product advertising, but others believe that this event was an example of Natural Selection (not the mod, of course.)

Hmm. Oh well. Look up ninjas instead.
