Will I be able to run Half-Life 2 Decent?

I'm sure you guys have had this question a thousand times, but Im not sure if it would be worth it for me to buy HL2. Belive me I want to play it, but I also don't want to waste 50 bucks on a game I cant run decently.

My rig consists of:
ATI Radeon 9200 128mb 4X AGP
AMD Athlon 1700+ XP ( ~1.46Ghz)
512 PC2100 DDR
WD 80.0 7200 RPM HDD

I want to know if I will be able to pull a decent FPS like ~30-40 with it still looking decent. I dont expect to be able to show it at its true glory, but I don't want it looking like shit either.

So tech gurus... whats my situation?

P.S Im a University Student so if you say get a new computer, remember, ME=no $$
