Seriously :(

Whenever I try playing Half Life 2 Deathmatch it crashes as soon as it tries loading a server, during loading, or while downloading a map for it.

It goes back to the desktop with this error:

The instruction at "0x0*****" referenced at memory "0x0*****". The memory could not be read.
Click OK to terminate the program.

Since I recently installed the game it did this, but on ocassion. Now it happens evertyime I try starting the game.

Weird thing is is the normal Half Life 2 game works 95% fine. Only weird thing I noticed in it (which wasn't there last time I installed it) is that when I turned on my flashlight all the barrels turned WHITE.

Help please ;(

My system:
3 GHz processor
3 GB Ram
7800 GTX GeForce Go

Verify your steam files first, make sure ALL your drivers are up to date...

If that doesnt work, come back and give us more detailed information about your system

Do other games work fine or is this a problem with HL?

*Here is the recent driver for your video card*

Hey, thanks for the reply.

F.E.A.R. and Max Payne 2 work fine, as well as the demo for Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

I have the lalest driver, but it's for the Go version, since what I have is a laptop and it uses the mobile version of the 7800 GTX.

Also, my steam is up to date, I double checked.

Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
3 GB of RAM
nVidia GeForce Go 7800 GTX
2 Hitachi Hard Drives, 3 partitions.

What other info do you need?
