Will i get a CD?

I downloaded HL2 from Steam. I had the free coupon from the ATI card offer. My question is will i also get a CD of the game? Do i have to request it?

nope, just the game on steam.

This means you cannot "install the game" if you lose if or whatever you have to redownload it via steam. However, if you have a DVD writer you can make a "backup-DVD" in one of the option screens in steam

You do not get a hard copy. No reason for valve to give you a cd since you can download the game through steam. Although you can open steam click on my games and rightclick on hl2 and click on backup and you can burn it to your own CD.

You would have been better off just buying the game on cd. You would be able to play it at the same time so whats the diff?

Well he didn't 'buy' it though, it was given to him when he bought his ATI vid card...
Although I kinda think it sucks you have to have your dvd/cd in the drive whenever you play HL2

My guess is about 4 GB, inluding CS: Source
