The whole thing has been up on GDCTV for at least half a year, you just need to register or use bugmenot to view. It also has lionhead's impressive demonstration "The Room."

Nope...just checked it, its working so I'm watching it now. The slides for the presentation don't show anymore, but the video part is still higher res/better quality (And almost twice as long).

Dear god, I was resisting checking out footage and info about this game because I knew I'd just get hyped for a game that's ages away...but I was completely off-base in what I thought about this game.

I thought you'd just start as a small organism then take over the little world and maybe it'd be like Black & White where you'd move to different lands...but Jesus Christ....the planet level is hardly scratching the surface or potential.

Wow. All i saw before this was screens and the game just didnt appeal to me. I thought it would be some SIM game really boring etc. When i saw that video i was completely amazed. That is just mind blowing. I will be picking this up for sure. But i have a feeling this game will end this world :/

Indeed.
What I'm worried about is how well they can optimize the procedural code, because that will really break or make the game.
In the video the FPS came to quite a halt when he launched the volcanos onto that rock etc.
It's obvious from the video that the graphics won't be demanding, however, the procedural code could be incredibly demanding on RAM/CPU depending on how well optimized it is.
The fact that Spore's apparently also coming to the consoles and even "Unnamed" portables makes me wonder how they'll do Spore on those..

I mean I doubt they can have all that procedural stuff on say the Nintendo DS xD
