Will you get scared?

will you get scared playing at 12am with zombies creaping out of no where in the dark, especially the fast ones that leap with scary noises?

i most certainly will be on my toes!

Yes. Im an extremly jumpy person... My sister likes to scare me like that... Im walking around the hallway and BAM she likes jumps out... Sometimes I colapse to the ground because im so shocked, all the while shes laughing hystericly. I could only imagine if their were actual zombies roaming around...

But on topic, no I don't think HL2 will be scary at all.

HL2 is the kind of game that I don't think will scare me. I do love those scary games, which are the early resident evil games, silent hill (of course) and finally DOOM3 which I'm looking forward to as much as HL2, but on a different gaming experience level. Doom3 I know will scare the sh!t out of me because I will make It a point to play at night/dark/alone. I just hope they release at least one of those games in june

I know I will be crapping my pants in Half life 2. I freaked out so many times in the first one. Going through ventilation shafts and looking down, only to have a head crab fly at the screen. The scenes at e32004 of ravenhold or loft or whatever and father gregori look pretty freaky to me.

I though HL was a fairly scary game if you played it late at night. (for those that say no - you must have not played it late at night).

Though, I am sort of confused by HL2. Some scenes have the potential to scare me, but there are a bunch of others scenes that don't look very scary. Seems very inconsistent if you ask me. But its hard to tell from only viewing the demos.

not sure. i hope its not creepy weird like silent hill 3 is, that game really got to me, because it was so weird that it was just unnerving, couldn't really concentrate while playing it at night. it made me angry that a video game could do that to me

I will be scared in parts like Ravenholm, etc.
But in big firefights (eg, Barricade Movie) my heart will be pumping and I will wanna win, but I won't jump out of chair 'cause I got scared.

Besides headcrabs in vents, the most scary thing was when you'd be walking and right in front of you would appear a portal, and you'd hear that LOUD "BZZGHHHH" warping sound, then a vortigaunt, etc would come after you.

That sound always scared the crap out of "BZZGHHHHHH"

Yeah ill get scared especially in the graveyard, heck i get scared when i hear a trigens footsteps coming closer and they are slower lol. But I wont get that scared compared to exorcist @ 1am with nobody around me.

I'll probably jump at times, but not get scared. Manhacks, and headcrabs, and HL zombies aren't the types of thing that scare me. If a Half-Life zombie suddenly lurched through my door (in rl)the first thing I'd think would be "Wtf? Cool!", and then "Now where the hell did I leave my crowbar..."

But I don't know what's gonna be in HL2 yet, so it might creep me out

chill, if you don't like it, then don't post or view the thread, it's just something to talk about, mainly upon getting scared out about games at 3am in morning. i'm not asking for information about HL2, this is just all for entertainment.

Well considering as Silent Hill 2 and System Shock 2 haven't given me the willys at any point in time I'm going to have to say No, I will not be scared.

Half-Life 2 doesn't seem to have many scary areas (with the exception of the graveyard) but I'll still play it with my lights turned down (and probably at odd hours as well ).

I can't wait to see what the modders out there can do with the engine. The lighting capabilities should allow for all sorts of great horror themed mods. Just imagine a mod like They Hunger or Spatial Fear on the source engine... [begins to drool profusely]
