Anyone else horrified at how bad they butchered these great books? I am not talking about leaving things out. I am talking about making up characters, changing the fundemental way magic works( i. e., they reversed Ged's use name and true name), and making up totally new storylines.



I dont mind adding to the story and I know movies always deviate but this was rediculious, I wonder if the director even read the books or was just handed a script?

I honestly never read the books, so I can't speak to their accuracy (or lack thereof). I thought it was an okay miniseries (not awful at the least). I was, however, slightly frustrated at how "epic" all of the promos played it up to be, and how (for lack of a better word) empty it felt.
