I was just wondering this when I was hopping around the forum. Practically everywhere there is Half-Life 2 discussion (which is practically every General Gaming forum in existence) a significant portion of the populace hates or dislikes Valve for whatever reason, whether founded or otherwise.

Now, I’ll admit to being very annoyed about the whole September thing, as I’m not too pleased about the delay (being an impatient angsty bastard and all). But I for one will sweep all that gunk-filled water under the bridge when the game arrives- presuming it’s the masterpiece we hope for.

Thing is- what does the biggest HL2 community on the web think?

with my Hl2 money that is.
what an awesome gun, next up my BDU, then M16A2

I voted no, but if I hear it's good I may just download it or something, and play it on a friend's comp.

It's only a game and these things happen. Now if it was say utter tripe once it's been released or we need to dl 10 patches in the first 3 days then I would be slightly annoyed .. but at the moment ?

Ultimately, we're all here for the game itself. Everyone has been pissed at Valve for constant delays - but they're just doing their jobs, making a great game for us.

Dissapointed that we aren't playing HL² already, but confident that whatever the reason(s) for the delay that the final product will be worth waiting for. I like this forum, that is why I choose to hang around here. There are a few chumps, but aren't there always.

no no no, allow me to clarify, IM selling my computer to buy my M16a2 rifle.
If Hl2 was good, and a demo was released I would download it.

thats also why I said I would do it on a friend's comp, since I will no longer have one.

I think it's ridiculous how people are angry at Valve.

As said many times, Valve owe us nothing. And even if they did - they're doing everything in their power to pay us back. They've been busting their balls for five years to get HL2 out of the door and it'll be worth the wait.

Great gun isnt it? I have one myself and I love it.
As for HL2, I'm not at all upset about the delays and whatnot. Right now I'm pretty much to a point where I dont really care about HL2. Before its released I'll be sure to get hyped about it again though.

Alittle off topic but....

Out of all the FPS I have played, I have yet to see the wading come out of a shotgun blast after you have fired it. If anyone here has ever shot a shotgun, you would know that wading comes out. (a plastic piece) It's not a big deal but I think it would add more to the gun...any thoughts?

Really, I mean, how can you be mad at a company that hypes up a game with interviews, movies, and screenshots then decides to go into a 5 year hibernation whereby no new information or explanations are provided? Same here....never was mad, never will be mad. I'd rather them make the game as good as they can make it. If that means more delay, than so be it, I don't mind in the least.

in all honestly, i really didn't like how valve handled the delay and dropped the bomb on everyone just days before they were saying we'd be playing the game. I'm not really overly anxious to play the game anymore tho because i know it'll just mean a more difficult wait. When its released i'm sure i'll love it. I dont have any feelings towards valve, like or dislike. In the end, if i have a game i enjoy, good stuff, if not, i'll buy another from someone else. I dont hold a grudge against valve, i just dont like their approach on PR.
