Xbox display questions

Hi, sorry if it's alredy been posted. I just got Half Life 2 for the Xbox (without a manual) and I must have hit something on the controller, but now my vitals/inventory counts aren't displayed. This is difficult because I never seem to know what my health, bullets are at before a fight. I know how to do this on the PC, it is the Xbox I am having trouble with.

If you havent gotten the suit yet then you don't se the Vitals. If you're scaling the side of the building then you can get shot infinatley (I think, I haven't tried, but it doesn't take health from you in the end) BUT If you are farther than that then it's either a severe scratch on the disk, or a problem with that, or a bugged version... I mean, I have hl2 for xbox, but mine came with a manual... Anyways, hope I helped.

You don't get into any fights - beyond metrocops stunstick-raping you, that is - until after you get the HEV suit. I think he's got some other problem.

LOL manual.....im curious to if the "manual" is similar to what the retail pc version was like. also is there a setting that allows you turn off hud?

No, I have the suit. I am about 1/2 way through the game. The HUD is what is not visible. It had been visible previously, but I think I have accidentally turned it off. The copy I got was from Frys in the "low cost" section and it didn't come with a manual.

Hmm... Can you go back to other parts and see the hud, and just not where you're at? If so, then it's a problem with the disk for sure...
