Hi,
I am learning XSI mod tool to help my modteam with modeling the props. I have gotten the basics of modeling with XSI (i'm used to 3ds max myself), but am getting really hung up on textures. In max, you apply textures via a single palette, but in XSI all i see are heirarchys of Supports and Projections all over the place in explorer but still affect each other. I have been able to do a simple planar map as shown in the following picture, but don't know how to texture the model in a way so the sides are not stretched as you can see. I'm have been looking at tutorials for days and not having much luck. If someone could help me get started in understanding the materials and mapping system in XSI I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Louis
