I'm in shock that this site lives. I thought it was gone from the net when it was no longer .net. I swear I searched for it and it didn't even show up on the Google. I had ValveTime.net as the first bookmark on my toolbar for probably two decades and it was depressing when I finally deleted it thinking the forum wasn't just dead, but actually gone.
I literally thought about this forum the past weekend. I thought about Cpt.Stern because I remember he said he was a relatively famous musician, and I was at a blues show and there was a musician who was like 400 years old still shredding it on stage and I was like "that could be him."
My friends and I were shooting the shit taking about games we would make if we had all the money and skills to do it ourselves. One of my friends wanted to make a cart racing game that reminded me of D-Colon, the hl2.net game we conceptualized here like 15 years ago. D:
It's been said before, but I'll say it again. This site and the community that grew up with me on it has had a profound impact on my life to the point where even after I thought it was erased from the face of the internet, after nearly 20 years after the release of the game that have the site is original name, even when I'm in my late thirties with a mortgage and responsibilities, and all sorts of happy and sad events having happened in my life... I still think of this site and all the shenanigans and the members here regularly. It genuinely means a lot to me that this site is still around, even if nobody is really here.
Oh and for some reason I keep thinking about when someone told the story about how his mom caught him jacking off and he was so surprised but so close to finishing that he came so hard it got all over his wall. I don't remember whose story that was, but I know it was someone here. I can't get that story out of my head.
Anyways, hope everyone is doing well, and I'd love to hear what everyone's been up to.
Edit: I just spent like an hour trying to find that post. I finally found it when I saw a post from @Lucid and thought "I remember him being the type to post something like that. Well, I searched his posts and found it! The years distorted my memory of it a bit, it was his sister not him mom, and there's no mention of a wall. I probably just imagined him busting so hard it hit a wall. Here's the link.
God bless this forum and praise jebus it still exists. I would have have to go my whole life remembering this post but not remembering who posted it. Also fun side note, while searching for this I discovered @Bad^Hat used to only like animated porn because real porn made him feel guilty.
