Well, I just bought StarCraft and ofcourse I'm very eager to play it, but I was wondering on what you guys recommend: Play the SP first, or MP first? It was very cheap too, and when I asked the shopkeeper a week or three ago he said he couldn't order it anymore!

Play some campaign missions first, then practice mp with the computer, then try mp against human opponents. Going the other way is going to get you creamed every time.

With warcraft 3, which is very similar btw, I did the campaigns first, then I practiced mp a LOT against the computer. Then I read about general strategies, and then I went onto battlenet and delivered some pain. Quite satisfying to win the first time you play online.

man, youre lucky, I wish I was enjoying starcraft for the first time again, it was the first good PC game I ever played.

Nice...Im also a recent buyer (got SC last month)..and its a great game. I recommend doing the campaign first. There are some SC players who are really good...too good

I could never get the hang of starcraft. It's like I used to be good at it (used to play it when I was 7), but I tried it recently and I kept getting totally owned by the AI in campaign and scenario mode. And I mean owned. I'd be building my tech centre, and see 20 zerglings rush my base and wipe out the 5 firebats I have and all the marines.

I've been playing starcraft for the past eight years (or seven, but who's counting?) since I got it for Christmas in 1998. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend you play all of the SP first; the story's too fantastic to let go, and that develops the game's absolutely wonderful atmosphere.

For MP, don't worry too much against practicing against comps. You'll suck at first, but computers play nothing like humans and you won't learn any strategy at all.

forget tech center, more firebats and bunkered rines. :D

or, rine rush, followed by second wave of rines and medics on their tails, then as you're doing that get tanks and gols, and full ups.

Im not a starcraft fan, but more into the C&C classical titles, but as a gamer i feel a responsibility to buy this game...the question is WHERE..and WHEN??? Soon these old games will be GONE...cost THOUSENS OF DOLLARS for a copy!!! WERE DOOMED!!! WE ARE ALL GONA DIIEEE DIEEEE....or il just download it

fine. rines and a few bats the second time too, instead of medics.

i like playing original SC sometimes just because there aren't any lurkers, which i hate
