All there map shots and models have looked quite professional, but once I saw that video... ew. Hopefully the coder cleans it up because that video makes it look like HL2 with some model replacements.

I've downloaded and had a wee play around by myself, didn't get a chance ot play online yet though. I understand this is still in alpha but I think you need to be aiming for your own art content, as well as work on more fluid animations. Sound is another big area, you need your own sound...

The point is you can't do it with HL2DM so that's why you use Garrysmod.

Chunks don't get blown out, you can shoot out the supports which causes the roof to collapse. Totally different things.

It is possible to download a pirated version though.

A ban just stops Australian retailers from selling the game. You can still buy it via Steam or from an international retailer (get it from one of our NZ stores and you'll have like 3 day delivery).

Not sure about the CS thing. Doesn't effect your game does it? Yes it will recognize you have the silver package and unlock the contente. If you tried to install the game from the CD it would use the data from the CD, but if you've already preloaded Half-Life 2 then it's pointless. What...

I agree but they didn't know if trhey were using it or not. I mean plenty of times like I didn't know where to go, and I spent 5 minutes going around trying to figure it out, and then I remembered it has GeoMod and so I shoot the wall and escape. But then at other parts of the game I get stuck...

I'd probably say that it would be a free download via Steam for anywith with a registered Half-Life 2. Counter-Strike 2 is going to be a completely new retail product and therefor will not come free with Half-Life 2.
