What are good values for rates in cs 1.6? Since I reformatted Ive lost my settings and i lag hard in most servers. Any help is good.

Yes the venice cores are nice too, you might wanna wait and see if you can buy a a64 with a venice core in your price range.

Ya 3500+ is better. You should look for a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Winchester core. Thats a real good CPU, just in general and for overclocking. Id look into a DFI board if you want to overclock it. And for your moey in the gfx deparment you might wanna see if you can get your hands on an x800XL...

hmmm, do a search on this, there are countless posts on it. Ill see if I can maybe find you any. But for a quick explaination, 3.2 GHz Intel P4 <= AMD Athlon 64 3200+. Thats roughly what its like. Just believe us when we say that AMD is better for gaming.
