So pretty much I'm making a map and its similar to sf_deck as far as it has no walls for borders, only skyboxes.

The difference is I'm trying to include a 3dskybox

<-- The 3dskybox

<--- Inside my map looking up

<--- Ingame

So as you can see my 3dskybox is way super far away directly above my map.

The Problem: After compiling my map I can see the objects inside of my skybox from my map they are just really small and far away.

I've moved it around and it seems I can still see it no matter which side it is on. Then I tried putting it underneath, which was also a bad idea because the skycam could see my map.

Is there a way to fix this without modifying the playable part of my map?

Did you place your skybox stuff around the sky cam as it should be around the center real scale? Check some tutorials for a better explanation.

Actually yes I did. And btw tutorials don't even speak of this.
But my problem is solved now.

Some fellows on www.sourcefortsmod.com/phpbb helped me out with this one.

Turns out that if you don't compile the vvis and the rad you end up with this bug so after compiling the full map, and placing a Block Light brush in the way, I could no longer see the pesky skybox from inside my map.

Good tutorials do. Unfortunately, many tutorial writers feel the need to overcomplicate their tutorials with sixteen paragraphs of how and not a single line of why. The end result is that a user has accomplished something, but has no idea how he did it or what he even did...
