3rd Party Mods won't work

When I try to join a server (online) with a 3rd part mod. I can play for 2-3 minutes then it says "Connection Interrupted" or what ever in the top right corner. Now, when I go to the server list, the server is fine and I can join again but the same thing happens.

It happens to me in "The Hidden" and "Source Forts" but is fine in CSS and Garrys Mod?

I am on Windows XP and have a router, if that maybe causing a conflict.

Hmm... Are you sure you have all the correct ports open?

Still happens.

EDIT: Fixed now, it was a port problem. My router has preset profiles for Steam/HL2 etc so just enabled them all and it works now.
