A simple Vort question....

so, from what I gather again, the vorts were enslaved by the combine, right?
and they were your enemy, so, after they are freed by the humans, what makes them stick around and help?
is it just that they have no way of returning to their home planet?
or is it deeper then that?

1st They been freed by Gordon.
2nd I think that Combine could destroy they homeworld.

The Vorts were enslaved by the Nihilanth. By killing him in the first Half-Life, Gordon freed them from their slavery. Later they arrived on earth during the Portal Storms and allied with the humans when the Combine took over.

I think they are helping humans out also as a way of saying "Thanks for freeing us".
I don't think they'll turn on us, but I do believe they are saying unflattering things about us in Vortesse.
