I'm sitting here listening to Pat Benatar - We Belong, and I realized it's probably one of the most powerful songs to me. I can't help but get REAL into it.

What is one to you?

For me it's Farm - Altogether Now. That song is just so emotionally powerful to me; it sends a shiver down my spine!!

Anything off the Jeff Buckley album Grace. That, or maybe Angeles by Elliott Smith (or any other ES song for that matter.)

Tool - Jambi

Tool - 10,000 Days

Jeff Buckley - Dream Brother

Radiohead - Pyramid Song

Radiohead - Reckoner

I have many more, but that'll do for now.

Cat's In The Cradle by Cat Stevens

It ultimately makes me cry every single time I hear it.

Oooh, true. Sufjan is so good at that- Casimir Pulaski Day makes me want to break down and sob D:

That song makes me so goddamn sad it's not even funny, I've actually cried listening to it before.

Other ones:
Tool - Wings for Marie and 10,000 Days (as one song in two parts)
Boards of Canada - Dayvan Cowboy - no lyrics, very powerful nonetheless
Blind Melon - Dear Ol' Dad

Bah, holy shit. I love that song. I always have to sing it out loud when I listen.

Rush - Red Barchetta.

When he says the words 'Jump to the ground, as the turbo slows to cross the borderline. Run like the wind, as excitement shivers up and down my spine' it does.

Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane

I love your way of thinking....

I just got done listening to "Earth, Wind and Fire - September" and dear god, my foot wouldn't stop beating...along with my head, arms and butt....love this song to death.

Breaking Benjamin - So Cold

Yes, go ahead and laugh. But its more due to witnessing a scaring event while listening to it. Memories just flood back when I listen to it.
