After completing HL2, I was kinda sad.....Is there ANY info about HL3?

Or, if not (still, I hope there will be HL3!), can anyone recommend a game as near as good as HL2? When I say "good", I mean in general - story, graphics, etc.

buy the HL2 episodes if you're that desperate :)
HL2 was only a dream until 2003 so expect Valve to say next to nothing about a third installment

Half-life 2: Episode 1 is 3 weeks away. From what I've heard, and what has been shown it's certainly going to be better than HL2. Following Episode 1 Episodes 2,3 and 4 have been announced.
We'll be getting them sooner, cheaper and the experience will be all the more refined. It's a great deal more story driven, which can only mean good things considering how oh so awesome HL2's story is.

There are no shooters out there, or on the horizon that look to rival HL2 at this stage. Possibly in graphics - and that is where Valve sort of lags behind(but not by much), but Valve are light years ahead in terms of story, level design and gameplay. And what matters most? Well, it ain't graphics.

I find farcry and all the doom games at least worth playing.
Oh and Oblivion is awsome. Got it about 3 weeks ago.

I've already paid in full for Episode 1. Can't wait. Hopefully I'll have time to finish HL2 again before it comes out. I'm near the end of the prison level but haven't had much time to play.

Wow catch up in the news man.
this is the kind of post that doesn't really need to be posted, know what i'm saying?

episode one is released june 1st, and it's the first installment in a series of episodic followups to Half-Life 2. it's very possible that there will be no HL3.

come on valve will screw every penny out of the half life series :p , cannot say i blame them either :O
