About the manipulator... I think.

The manipulator is the gun that you use to toss things around right? Well thats the weapon im talking about.

Does it run out of power? While watching the strider bink video I noticed when Gorden was using the manipulator it didnt have a ammo/power amount.

Ps: does anyone know how to stop a Strider?

nah the manipulator doesn;t use any ammo thts the great thing about it.

as for the strider RUN! i think i'll wait until the game is released before i compile my strider slaying tactics

Yes I saw a video either on my PC magazine DVD or at "GIGA Games" (TV-Show about Games, do you know off it??) where can see gordon attacking a strider with the rocket lauchner several times but it didn't got down then he got help from NPC's with rockets :sniper: and BBUUUMMMMMM!!!!!

well, you watched the strider video so you should know how to deal with one. i think they said it twice... "get...the hell...OUTTA HERE!!"

Esquire's tutorial on how to beat up a strider...

First, get together about 50 other people armed with RPG launchers, M60s, sniperrifles etc. Make sure you have a small sea of ammunition.

Finally, try to take the strider by surprise, do not take cover (unless you're reloading), and keep at more than a strider's leg reach from the strider. Aim at the largest part of the strider... Unload all your clips one after the other only ever stopping to reload.

And that's it, you're done, i mean dead.

Btw, i say dont take cover because the striders are clever and will just blow up the building your in resulting in you being crushed by the rubble. Your best bet is to be as close to the strider as possible, that way if the strider fires his larger cannon he's more likely to damage himself. Also, his machinegun cannon thing is at an angle that suggests it prefers to shoot forward rather than down, so you're probs safer being closer to the bigbeast. Just watch for those legs.
