According to PC gamer [speculation], tf2 is the MP..WTF?

well according to the magazine, most of the staff beleives tf2 or cs2 will be hl2 mp.

They are obviously speculating, but i hope its true.

Valve have said that it will be standalone. But I guess it could happen. I just hope it is out soon either way!

PCGamer clearly says that that is simply their speculation. They're guessing, but they also say that Valve is constantly working on it too, and its much closer to completion than many think.

Seriously, we here on these boards know MUCH more about HL2 and Valve than the PCGamer guys. And what they do know (at least for UKPCGamer), they seem to have learned from reading this board!

I wouldnt mind if it was HL2's mp, TF2 has the potential to be very good, I love class based teamplay, Although I would rather the MP was HL2 specific, with HL2's weapons and stuff, id even go for DM if there gonna release TF2 anyway.

Stop generalizing PC Gamer.
PC Gamer US is all new info, basically the same report as PC Zone's article.
PC Gamer UK, yeah, they had a bunch of old, rehashed info. The next issue (due out soon?) is supposed to have their cover story on HL2

I'm sure that HL2's multiplay will feature Gordon and Alyx and others as models for player characters, so I doubt it will be TF2 since it will be HL2 themed in some way, and TF2 isn't, in any way.

Battlefield esque multiplayer with combine players and resistance characters, holding points of the city, like flags in BF. Now THAT would be awesome.
