Aftermath animations look terrible

Did anyone else notice this? Made me totally cringe when i saw alyx step back to come to a blocky stop and then the quick scene of her stomping to shoot the ant lion was so badly done it was hilarious.

You're being paranoid. The animations seemed fine, even better than those of Half-Life 2.

it looks good, better than hl2, but for some reason i expected it to look even better than it does, although its only an 8mb video clip, that can never show off its true beauty of a game, so i expect it will look spectacular

I agree with Kare Bear on this 1. It's not like it's going to change my mind on getting Aftermath.
I'm dying to find out how "HL2 Continues".

Seeing that trailer reminded me of Unreal. Where you go into that Mothership and destroy this generator, then you get the HELL out of there before it blows up. And the power goes out in the mothership. Including all the force fields. Meaning things that where captured come out to get you.

The animation on the antlion part looks too stiff. I dunno how anyone could say it looks better than HL2, but anyway I'm not bothered yet, cos like loads have said it's still WIP.

Jesus Christ, it's just a guy with a dial-up. The movie was probably blocky for him and he considered that the game was blocky.

i dont think they should have released a trailer until they had animations that didn't look like they're over 2 years old. Hell some games back them didn't even have those blocky robot movements.

also, given that there's a plural "animations" in the thread title, do you mind explaining what's wrong with the animations in the rest of the video? Dog in particular looks as smooth as he ever did, and the Stalker bits seem natural for what they're trying to achieve.

So that's just one single footstepping action that few people have actually even seen to be bad?
