Aftermath only distrubuted by Steam??

This may be a dumb question but i have read all kinds of different things on this.......
Will you be able to get Aftermath in stores in CD format or will you have to pay and download it from "The Almighty" Steam engine
(as you can maybe tell i dislike Steam);(
